The Homas Gi Program is a new health initiative that focuses on improving the health of our tribe through traditional culture, values, and practices. Homas Gi is Klamath and means “Be That Way”.
Some tribal members describe the phrase as a call to action…just do it! The program is directed by the Homas Gi Committee, which consists of tribal members who have knowledge of the culture of our people, health and nutrition, and/or other skills that will help us move forward with the vision of the
program.

As the program grows, there will be programs and opportunities for tribal members to participate in activities that connect them back to culture and provide for a healthier tribe. This program is still in its infancy and relies on participation and input for our tribal members. If you would like to share your knowledge of Klamath, Modoc, or Yahooskin traditional lifeways and stories, we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Amanda Page.
